Leadership for right now.
Not every technology leadership gap is a permanent hire. Sometimes you need someone capable in the seat this month, or a board-level technologist for a day a month — and the same standard of judgement either way.
Two situations, one standard.
Interim technology leadership
The CTO has left, the roadmap hasn't, and a rushed permanent hire is the most expensive mistake available to you. An interim keeps delivery moving and buys you the time to run the permanent search properly — often making the permanent brief sharper in the process, because someone senior has now seen the estate from the inside.
Board-level technology
A non-executive or advisory technologist for boards that need to challenge a technology plan credibly — particularly where investors want a second opinion on architecture, delivery risk or the leadership team itself.
Either way it starts the same way: fifteen minutes on what's actually happening, and a straight answer about whether we're the right people for it.
